LashL is the latest JREF moderator. The name barely registered in my mind when I saw it. I looked around in Forum Management, and she has only 95 posts there. After 3 1/2 years and 6,000+ posts, we just have 95 moderation related posts to judge her by. Several of those just contained the laughing dog smiley (some more than once). Other posts were just continuations of argument about 9/11 conspiracy theories. Interestingly, LashL has more posts in Abandon All Hope - 173. I took a look at her most recent 275 posts. I'd estimate 75% were in Community (which is rarely moderated), 20% were in Conspiracy Theories (which is a waste of time anyway), and the remaining 5% were either in Sports or Abandon All Hope. What about the other 25 forums? I wonder what they looked at to decide that LashL was worthy of interpreting the membership agreement and influencing the behavior of other members to honor the agreement.
Fortunately, a spy at the JREF supplied me with the form Darat completed and gave to Jeff Wagg. It contains a breakdown of LashL's posts in Forum Management and how they demonstrate she will be a solid moderator. I have reproduced it below for you. Note: That's a joke folks. I don't know of any spies at the JREF nor do I have access to any secret documents. It's just funnier this way.

Yes, but when a snivelling, whinging, moronic, juvenile poster starts multiple nonsensical threads illegitimately claiming persecution by the moderators, surely it must be acceptable to identify him and his threads as such.
Oliver, for crying out loud, grow up. You are behaving like a petulant child. This forum and all of the threads in it are not your personal little playground in which you get to make the rules to suit yourself and your personal agenda. Dropping to the floor stamping your little hands and feet when that is pointed out to you is not going to help. Nor is making blatant personal attacks against others when you don't get your own way. Grow up.

Well, let's see. I know nothing about plumjam's views on life/politics/religion/science/world events/humour/etc., as opposed to those of several other posters. Yet, to me, plumjam appears to be some kind of creepy cyber-stalker.
It seems that the Forum Management section has become "The Atheist and Uncayimmy Travelling Sideshow" recently, featuring such over the top drama queen nonsense that the TA and Uy show has become a parody of itself.
You're really going off the rails these days, UncaYimmy. Have you considered taking a break?
Believes the Moderators Can do no Wrong? Check!
The moderators are not at your personal beck and call, Creekfreak. There are hundreds of active threads and 454 users online at this moment. It is unreasonable for you to expect the moderators to tend solely to your thread, your whims, and your demands.
I rarely indulge in Forum Management threads (even though I think the mods tend to get things right FAR more often than they get it wrong, despite the extreme difficulties that they have to deal with along the way) but Myriad pretty much nails it in the linked thread. I think you might benefit from reading it.
I would like to add a post of thanks to the moderators and administrators here. They really do an amazing - and usually thankless - job here, and dog knows it isn't for the money!
They have a lot of crap to deal with, and yet they do so consistently with aplomb, objectivity, honesty and integrity, all the while maintaining the goals and aims of the JREF and all it stands for.
JREF mods and admins truly rock.
I wholeheartedly agree with this. The mods and admins here do a stellar job of maintaining the forums in accordance with the rules and, in my view, they do so fairly and consistently. Yet, there are these continuous whining threads accusing them of all manner of treachery. It is a tribute to them that they rarely lose their tempers when being accused of [insert accusation de jour here] and that they calmly respond and explain the rationale for the impugned actions taken (or not taken).
Kudos to the moderating team and the admins.

What a fantastic choice. Clearly LashL will fit in perfectly with the rest of the mod team. I hope you'll endorse my recommendation, Jeff. I couldn't think of anywhere better to carry out your vision. In fact, it's almost like you two are twins!
