It was a quiet evening when I received an e-mail from somebody who had stumbled across this website. This person had registered Christmas day, and the next morning it sent me an interesting e-mail. "You may not be aware," it told me, but Anita Ikonen, aka VisionFromFeeling, had a former stage name: Alenara.

That's right, folks. Back in 2002 our very own VFF was touring Poland spreading her nonsense about breatharianism. What's that, you ask? It's the ridiculous notion that humans can survive without eating. I mean, c'mon, who believes this stuff except for the truly deluded and vulnerable?

You can read Anita Ikonen's site about being a breatharian to see for yourself. This goes way beyond claims of seeing inside the human body. She's actually telling people they can survive without eating. Sure ya can - until you die! She has no business telling people this nonsense. It's not a matter of belief but of science. Starvation kills. Period.

It's also interesting that VFF didn't share this story about Alenara. I wonder why? If you look at these videos, you will see Anita Ikonen herself making the same claims that she says prompted her "investigation" into the paranormal. She has believed and preached this stuff for about a decade now. The notion of "apparent accuracy" compelling her to investigate is nonsense. The fact is Anita has been making claims about being an alien with paranormal powers for years. Basically, her entire premise with the IIG has been a lie.

She's a dangerous woman. Advising people that her Vision From Feeling indicated they had heart disease was pretty bad. Contacting a group of migraine sufferers offering to treat them with Vibrational Algebra from her brain was pretty bad. But touring Poland and telling people they can live without food? That's criminal!

Have to add that Anita is currently adopting the self righteous pose of not wanting to discuss her breatharianism so that "people won't try it at home". However, lLast year, on the JREF forum, she revived a five year old thread, apropos of nothing, for the express purpose of sparking interest in her 'experiences' of repeatedly going without food and water for lengthy periods, using prana techniques. When I offered her $10,000 in exchange for proof that she could do this, she sent me a lengthy email detailing her experiences, and bragging that she suffered no ill effects, even after eight or nine days of deprivation.

It's all bollocks, of course, and mind numbingly stupid. Of all her claims, it has the potential to do the most harm if taken at face value. Very scary.
