What I find most interesting in the thread over at the JREF concerning who is/was PBJ, is the blatant refusal of anyone to explore the possibility that PBJ's post about Randi (presently in AAH) did not violate any part of the membership agreement. It wasn't, in any way, attacking Randi or Deyvi, it was just simply looking at the situation without the fog of worship.
I find it somewhat humorous that on a board dedicated to critical thought, and for all intents and purposes, an atheist board, here we have a set of rules that resemble the dogmatic 10 commandments, all punishable by death if the gods so desire. And for the most part, the sheep stay within these rules, and learn to adjust their behavior in a way that will not upset the good shepherds.
Here are a few of the comments that strike me as the most interesting;

So...let me summarize:
1) This person has created multiple accounts here, in knowing violation of the MA. In fact, the person doing this went to rather elaborate lengths to break the rules (and try to avoid being caught) by using a Singapore proxy and email account, set up apparently for the exclusive purpose of carrying out this bit of deception.
2) Darat says that the only reason this account was approved was because of emails received during the approval process; this person claims no such emails were ever sent. While I'd tend to take Darat's word over PBJ's, it is largely a moot point, since this person has already admitted to intentionally breaking the forum rules. Further, this person's post reveals that Darat and Lisa were apparently quite correct in being suspicious about this person.
3) This person comes back, using yet another sock puppet account, to "reveal the truth"...a 'truth' that, quite frankly, just makes them look like a complete farking idiot.
To whoever you are...if you have any other sock puppet accounts still active, and are reading this...if you ever have to go to court for anything, please don't be your own lawyer...because if your 'defense' is as inept and ill-conceived as what you've done here, you won't stand a chance. Case in point...making your email account available for others to view, a 'proof' of your claim...when pretty much anyone with the most basic computer knowledge knows that you could simply have deleted any emails sent/received. So you make a post that undeniably demonstrates your guilt, while posting 'evidence' of innocence that doesn't mean squat.
This type of post is very well thought out and intelligently presented, yet completely overlooks the fact that PBJ's post in no way violates the MA. He has a point about the emails, but like I have said in my first post here on UncaYimmy's blog, the emails were from the Hellsinki account, who was from Finland. There was no way prior to Hellsinki making a post in the PBJ thread, and falling on the sword if you will, of Darat tying the two together.
It should appear pretty obvious to all of you that I am still browsing the PBJ thread, and it would follow from that that I still have a few active accounts over there.

Not sure about Thunder´s articulateness, but attacking Randi wasn´t his shtick... nor Zep´s. Skeptic would have worked an accusation of anti-semitism and/or an attack on the "Canadian liberal leftist progressive" into this. And it´s too damn articulate for BAC, plus I´m not sure he´d attack Randi like this, either.
I´d say attacks like this are Gengis´ style, but I don´t recall him being anywhere near this articulate... or this sophisticated in his methods.
I know a couple of current members who are this rabidly opposed to homosexuality, but the rules prevent me from naming them here; other than that, I´d say the prime suspects are people who failed (or wisely refused to take) the Million Dollar Challenge.
I don't actually see where in PBJ's post that I was attacking Randi, had it been anyone else in the real world, like OJ Simpson, or Herman Cain PBJ would still be a member and have made a couple of friends.
I also find it of great interest how Chaos has spent the last two weeks attacking Darat, and I would assume nearly getting banned, yet here he is at the alter of Randi, offering his intellect to cast out the black sheep. Peace be upon him.

Actually I can supply a bit more information. Emails were sent to Randi which were forwarded to me by D.J., emails between D.J., me and Lisa resulted in us deciding that we would test our suspicions. When both the PBJ and Helsinki accounts were approved Lisa made a post in the Coordination section to warn the Mod Team and ask them to keep an eye on the accounts.
As can be seen our suspicions were proved right.
Just as a bit of general information. There are some signs that indicate that an account request needs to be looked at more closely and Lisa and I often discuss accounts waiting for approval and the emails that are sent during that process. As ever what we look for and at is not rocket science but we don't describe our processes as I don't believe in making it easier for pillocks and/or malicious folk to bypass the very limited tools we have.
"As you can see our suspicions proved right". That's exactly the kind of phrase I would expect from some psychic after they suggested the police look for the body in the lake, even though the killer left a note saying he was leaving to go to the lake. Way to go Captain Obvious!
In my honest opinion, the admins are wasting a huge amount of time and resources on carrying out this death penalty, and making sure that the bodies don't float. There is no way to stop people from from self resurrecting and becoming members again, sure it takes three days and a couple registration attempts, but the gates of hell are always open.
If posting anything on the JREF that might look at Randi in a skeptical light is a crime punishable by instant death, then perhaps the admins should change the 13 commandments to include a new rule;
Rule -1 ; Thou shall have no other gods before our god, Mr Zwinge.
