Anita is Very Upset

Anita has contacted me privately numerous times since I started this website. She chooses to respond to me privately about some of the things she sees on these forums and the JREF Forums rather than respond publicly. She has been invited to join this website and write her own responses, but up until now she has refused. Yesterday she joined the site, but she has yet to post anything.

Anita has repeatedly asked me to talk on the phone with her, but I have refused for my own reasons. A couple of weeks ago she called my cell phone (she got the number from my business web page) four times in one morning, but I did not answer. Via Skype instant messaging I once again reminded her that I do not want her to call me. I find it interesting that she calls this website "harassing" yet she is the one initiating conversations on Skype and calling my cell phone against my wishes.

Yesterday she called me again after sending me unanswered instant messages on Skype for about an hour. This time she left a voicemail that is over two minutes long. In effect she says that she believes this website has crossed the line because she believes people have called her a racist in the discussion forums. She says that she wants to discuss this with me personally rather than pursue other avenues (legal ones, I presume).

First off, I am not responsible for what other people write, they are. Second, I believe that people are writing heartfelt reactions to what Anita herself has stated publicly regarding race. She has stated that through her "perceptions" she has learned that "black people" have a different internal chemistry than white people, are healthier, and react differently to flesh wounds. There is no scientific basis for this claim. Of course, she doesn't see this as evidence that her perceptions are not real.

Nobody is attacking Anita. People are discussing Anita's public comments. Nobody asked for her opinions on race. She offered them willingly and without prompting. If she's unhappy with the conclusions people reach, then she should defend herself or not make public comments on race in the first place. There is no violation of privacy here. There is no libel here.

People are openly questioning why she believes there are significant biological differences among the races. Her defense is that she isn't racist because her claims were "in favor of black people." Does that then mean she is prejudiced against white people? Eskimos? Asians? It's all rather silly.

Anita is welcome to post here and defend/clarify her statements.
